Nacido el 22 de diciembre de 1960, Jean-Michel Basquiat fue un artista estadounidense de ascendencia haitiano-puertorriqueña. Born December 22, 1960, Jean-Michel Basquiat was an American artist of Haitian-Puerto Rican descent. His mother, Matilde, instilled a love for art in Basquiat by taking him to the Manhattan art museums; inspired by the portraits hanging in museums, Basquiat soon began to lean into the craft. Later, he would take on the walls of New York City with graffiti spray paint.
